I’m here to speak to you, to introduce you to this splendid reality created over the years with so much devotion and sacrifice.
I was born in Italy, in Como. My father is Italian and my mother Portuguese. I have always seen and experienced first hand what this mix of cultures can offer, a mix of discoveries, differences and understandings that I experience still today in destination weddings on Lake Como.
I have lived my whole life in an apartment with a lake view, on one of the many small lakes in the Como area that surrounds the majestic Lake Como. This small lake, Lake Pusiano, is famous for its amazing sunsets and the emotions they evoke. Beautiful certainly, but for me, what I have always loved about the view of the lake from my balcony, are the breakfasts at dawn, too difficult to describe in words! My family has always adored this scenery and I love Lake Pusiano as well as the other many smaller lakes and Lake Como. Whether I am admiring them from a balcony, from the shore, from beautiful locations, or even from a boat or actually swimming in the clear waters. I have seen them from up high too as they are surrrounded by spectacular mountains which offer a lake view location. When I see the varying shades of colours and feel the magical and incomparable sensations this evokes, I want to transmit all this emotion to you, on your big day.
My character is a mix of determination, precision, sincerity and cheerfulness. I have learnt to use these various aspects well, and, together with my loyalty, passion and professionalism, I offer you a unique experience for your wedding.
Since I was a child I have been fascinated by art and design and, later, by make up and aesthetics. In 2007, I wanted to attend a professional school for beauticians to then specialise as a make-up artist but, I had to opt for a high school and so, with ever clearer aims, I chose a high school specialising in arts. During these years, in order to follow my passion for the world of make- up, I tested and sold cosmetic products. After finishing high school I finally attended a school for beauticians as well as various specialisation courses. Over the years I have studied autonomously and I will continue to do so with the interest I have in always learning more. I have studied and done training courses in the most prestigious acadamies.
While I was studying special effects, film and theatre make-up at the Accademia del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, I was also carrying out different jobs. Among the less artistic of these, I worked as a make-up artist in Sephora at the weekend for prestigious brands such as Prada, Valentino, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and others. I also worked a number of times as a childrens’ face paint artist. These jobs allowed me to buy my present work station and chair for make-up & hair. I remember being so motivated by my deep passion for this work, that I decided to invest all my hard earnt money to buy the best equipment available. This was also at a time when, in Como, it was difficult to answer ‘make-up artist’ if someone asked, ”what do you do?!” I was the only person working in this field then and people didn’t understand the importance of this specialised role.
During this period and after my studies, I worked for the Compagnia della Rancia at the LiveForum-MediolanumForum Assago, at the Royal Palace of Monza, at the Teatro Piccolo of Milan and at various fairs such as Cartoomics as a special effects artist. I have also done the make-up for some fashion shows featured in Vogue Bride at the Wedding Lugano Fair. I have worked as a make-up artist for an afternoon of viewing bridal gowns being worn by models, organised by the television presenter and journalist Maria Teresa Ruta. I have likewise worked for Simone Forti D-Video Production for various programmes shown on Rete Tele 5, a Spanish production, and, finally, I have lent my skills as a make-up & hair artist in collaboration with photographers, videographers and fashion agencies.
Inspired by the growing demand of the sector, I went on to specialise and to cultivate my desire to learn by attending a make-up and photographic hair-styling course at the BCM Beauty centre of Milan, finishing with top marks. After this I also did a Bride Hair-Styling course at the BSI Accademy, founded by Diego dalla Palma.
I have continued my many stimulating projects and work in the art of make-up and hair-styling for bride and events in magnificent locations on Lake Como such as Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio, Villa Lario Resort in Mandello, Villa Regina Teodolinda in Laglio or Il Sole di Ranco on Lake Maggiore. I have also worked for profumeries and done video publicity for companies such as Burger King and Ceres beer. I have worked for photographers from the Marangoni Institute of Milan, for the fashion agency Major Model Management, for Gazzetta TV where I did the make-up and hair-styling for the giornalist Viviana Guglielmi, the ex-footballer and television commentator Josè Altafini, the presenter Enrico Bertolino, the comedians Angelo Pisani, Andrea Di Marco, Max Pisu, the ex-footballers Beppe Baresi and Evaristo Beccalossi and the giornalist Franco Dassisti. I have also done the make-up and hair-styling for Alfio Bardolla Training Group Spa, at the Studio Lampo TV and various engagements at Studi La3 my digital life for video/tv productions.
I have worked for the Rai, Italy’s state-owned radio and television broadcaster for the “Tim Music on Stage Awards” where, in collaboration with a colleague, we prepared the following artists: Clementino, Francesca Michielin, Subsonica, Marco Mengoni, Negrita, Malika Ayane, Emma, Elisa, Max Gazzè, Kolors, Max Pezzali, Nek, Negramaro and other guests. I have done the make-up for Filippa Lagerback, for Nek and his band, for Samuel singer of Subsonica, for Malika Ayane’s dancers, for Max Gazzè’s backup singer and saxophonist and for other artists and members of their various bands. Over the years I have often made up Paola Pelagalli and worked on various radio/tv recordings on Radio Italia solomusicaitaliana, for example the interviewing of the Italy’s Got Talent judges and for the final, for the Radio Italia Live concert and for the interview of the footballer Andrea Pirlo. I have done the make-up for Giulia Masla, who for 20 years was the Gucci international director of communications, for “Gucci Sex, Money and Power” broadcast on ParamountUK in 2023.
Over the years I have also held make-up courses with the lessons created by me which have taken place in beauty salons, cosmetical companies and in event halls, from Como to even as far as the breathtaking Livigno. I can offer you my exclusive experience. The same thing goes for the courses aimed at professionals to whom I am happy to give my advice. For example, I cherish the memory of when I was asked to give personal lessons to an ex BCM classmate who asked me to help her overcome some incertitudes and gaps in her skills. As a way of thanking her for her faith in me, I later asked her to assist me at a few weddings. It is always a pleasure to feel the reciprocal esteem between colleagues. As she comes from Brescia and now has her own salon of her dreams, it is not always easy to meet up, but we know that we can always count on each other. Today, strong from all my training and 360° experience as a make-up & hair artist in various sectors and bringing all these skills together to offer an incomparable service, I specialise in destination weddings on Lake Como. I will help wedding couples and their guests to shine, by ensuring that all the aesthetic details are perfect, live or in photos and videos. Details that I love to immortalise in collaboration with other professionals, generating art and beauty together. With the knowledgeable use of high quality products and equipment of makes such as Dior, Mac Cosmetics, Nars and others of the same quality, I ensure an impeccable final result, taking into consideration the specific requirements of each bride or event. To be able to offer wedding couples and professionals a really excellent service, I trained as a Destination Wedding Planner at the Elisa Mocci Emex Academy. I also took part in the RiseUp Summit, an event that perfected even more the experience that I offer you for your getting ready, (preparation) if you are a future bride, or collaboration as make-up & hair artist if you are a wedding planner or another professional within the sector.
